In 1984-85 Boston College Law School draws the nation's eighth largest number of law school applications. Nearly 350 employers visit the Newton campus to interview 270 graduates - one sign of the increasingly high esteem accorded the school. During the latter part of the '80s, applications continue to tick upwards in number and quality. By 1988-89, based on application volume and composite test scores, BC is ranked for the first time among the top 20 law schools in the country.
