College Bound, an academic and counseling program aimed at disadvantaged urban youth, and sponsored by the School of Education, begins. The program taps promising area high school students and helps them improve their chances of entering and succeeding in college through tutoring, mentoring, and regular campus visits. Five years later, the entire pilot class of 17 students will earn college acceptances.
