The acquisition of Newton College of the Sacred Heart in March expands the University physical plant by more than a third just as the main campus is feeling the pinch for space. Less than two miles from the main campus, the 40-acre site contains 15 major buildings. Renovation and remodeling efforts create a home for the Law School, which moves there from cramped quarters in More Hall, and for an enlarged Fine Arts Department, which gains sorely needed studio space.
