Daniel is a 2nd-year doctoral student and Teaching Fellow. He is interested in the relationship between philosophy and poetry, ranging from the philosophical study of poetry (i.e. Plato's critique of poetry in the Republic) to the poetic expression of philosophical ideas (i.e. the Platonism of some of Shelley's poetry). He is particularly interested in analyzing Shakespeare's history plays from the perspective of political philosophy. Daniel is also a poet, and one of his sonnets was named amongst 'The 10 Best Love Poems of 2022' by the Society of Classical Poets.
