Blanchette-Kennedy Lecture in Philosophy and Religion

Funded by a generous donation from the late Oliva Blanchette, longtime professor in the Boston College department of philosophy, and his wife, Dorothy Blanchette-Kennedy, the department hosts a prominent scholar in philosophy and / of religion annually. There is a public lecture on a theme of general interest and at a level that is broadly accessible to the university audience, as well as an advanced research seminar on a select theme. This series is organized by a committee of faculty from the philosophy and theology departments chaired by Professor Jeffrey Bloechl.

Previous Blanchette-Kennedy Lecturers include: Jean Grondin (University of Montreal) in 2022, and Elodie Boublil (Universite de Paris XII) in 2023.
