My name is Patrick Fahey, and I am an M.A. student in the Philosophy program. I graduated from Boston College in the MCAS Honors Program with a B.A. in Economics. I am interested in the study of human existence and how it is contextualized by phenomenological orientation, material conditions, and our interpersonal relations. Philosophers that ground theory in action and communication are of particular interest to me - for example, Karl Jaspers, Henri Lefebvre, Erich Fromm, bell hooks, Stephen Batchelor, among others.
On campus, I am a Graduate Assistant at the Career Center, helping students in the Government, Law, and Public Policy cluster. I am passionate about teaching philosophy and I hope to pursue a PhD after the completion of my MA.
