Philosophy Department Welcomes 2020 Gadamer Visiting Professor

The Philosophy Department is happy to welcome Professor Claude Romano as this year's Gadamer Chair.  He comes to us from Universite Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV) where he specializes in Merleau-Ponty, Heidegger and Husserl.  He will be teaching a graduate course entitled "The Self and Selfhood: Analytic and Continental Approaches" and an undergraduate course, "A History of the Idea of Personal Truth and Authenticity".
