This project seeks to understand how Black people experience racism at work, the impact racism has on their well-being, how Black people perceive working in the United States, and the various characteristics of their workplace that might promote or mitigate experiences of racism. The initial study is qualitative and seeks to fill a critical gap in the literature by examining the impact of racism at work on psychological and work-related well-being. This study will explore these relationships through the theoretical lens of psychology of working theory. Additional studies will follow up on this project, using quantitative and qualitative approaches.
