Luanne Nugent, D.N.P., RN, MSN, CNS is a clinical associate professor at the Connell School of Nursing. Dr. Nugent’s research background focuses on nursing care of the adult medical-surgical patient and studying the causes of omissions of nursing care. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Regis College, a Master of Science in Nursing from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UMass Amherst.
Dr. Nugent has been an educator for over 27 years, earning recognitions such as the Nurse Educator Award from the Massachusetts/Rhode Island League for Nursing as well as an Excellence in Teaching and Clinical Research Award from the Connell School of Nursing. She strives to create a classroom and clinical environment that guides students to becoming novice nurses and she is committed to providing a supporting learning atmospheres that is both exciting and rigorous.
