The Boston College Philosophy Department and the LaBrecque Medical Ethics Lecture Committee present the annual LaBrecque Medical Ethics Lecture, “Brain Death: Ethical Issues. 50 Years After the Harvard Study” on Monday, April 29th from 3pm – 5pm in McGuinn 121.

This year’s panel features the following distinguished scholars:

Professor Christine Mitchell, executive director of the Center for Bioethics, Harvard Medical School

Alan Shewmon, MD, professor emeritus in pediatrics and neurology, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA

Christopher Tollefsen, PhD, distinguished professor of philosophy, University of South Carolina.
