Samayoa named emerging faculty leader

The Institute of Citizens & Scholars named Assistant Professor Andrés Castro Samayoa as one of 11 Mellon Emerging Faculty Leaders (MEFL). The MEFL Awards support junior faculty whose research focuses on contemporary American history, politics, culture, and society, and who are committed to the creation of an inclusive campus community for underrepresented students and scholars. Castro Samayoa received the award for his research on Minority Serving Institutions: Administering Ethnoracial Identities and Education’s Common Good. Read about these awards.
