This project aimed to understand the current landscape of doctoral education worldwide and to examine current and proposed reforms in doctoral education, through the articulation of fifteen country case studies. The resulting book linked these trends with broader societal and economic issues, including pressures from labor markets, social demand for changes in program structures and general changes in higher education systems around the world.
