The Center for International Higher Education is working with the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto and the International Association of Universities (IAU) to chart the future of internationalization post-pandemic. This multi-year, mixed-methods research project - funded by the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada - will identify innovative practices in response to the ongoing crisis and expand a network of international scholars and practitioners dedicated to exploring future possibilities for sustainable, ethical and equitable internationalization.
Cross-sector co-creation of knowledge & understanding (including both researcher and policy makers)
This three-year project will conduct a global landscape mapping, implement a new survey module with universities around the world, and develop 10 institutional case studies to document university responses and highlight promising practices. It will also bring together higher education scholars, practitioners and institutional leaders to discuss possible futures for internationalization within higher education.
This is a partnership with the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto (Canada) and the International Association of Universities (IAU); Within CIHE, the lead researcher is Gerardo Blanco. BC Professor Emeritus Hans de Wit is also actively involved.
