Susan Kelly-Weeder, Ph.D., FNP-BC, FAANP, FAAN, an associate professor at the Connell School of Nursing, is retiring from Boston College and transitioning to become dean of the School of Nursing at the George Washington University (GW).
Kelly-Weeder earned a B.S. in nursing from Simmons College and an M.S. and Ph.D. in nursing from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. She maintains a clinical practice in family and college health as a board-certified family nurse practitioner. An NIH-funded researcher, her work has focused on motivational interventions to reduce binge drinking and disordered eating behaviors in college students.
“Congratulations to both George Washington University and Dr. Kelly-Weeder,” said Katherine Gregory, dean of BC’s Connell School of Nursing. “I am confident that her experience as associate dean of graduate programs here at Boston College and as immediate past president of the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties will serve her well as she leads the students, faculty, and staff at George Washington throughout the coming years.”
Kelly-Weeder will begin her new role at GW on July 17, 2023.
