Translator for an anxious public

Assistant Professor Nadia Abuelezam, who is an infectious disease epidemiologist, has taken on the role of public spokeswoman and translator of COVID-19 facts and information for an anxious public.

In March, Abuelezam and other Boston College and Boston University experts in biology, medicine, political science, and public health gathered in a virtual panel discussion to explore the epidemiology and status of COVID-19 around the world, and the global, national, and local politics and policies adopted so far to address it.
