Boston College is committed to engaging the community in an open dialogue and inclusive process that gathers input from interested stakeholders in the neighborhoods surrounding our campus. The University’s goal is to establish ongoing communication with the community and identify areas where we can agree on resolutions to shared issues.

Throughout the development of the long-term campus vision plan and now in the institutional master plan phase, the University continues to consult and work collaboratively with officials from the surrounding municipalities of Boston and Newton, the Boston Redevelopment Authority and the Newton Planning and Development Department, as well as appropriate state agencies. Additionally, Boston College is actively engaged in soliciting input on the institutional master plan through discussions with the Allston-Brighton Boston College Community Task Force, the Newton-Boston College Neighborhood Council, and various community groups. An up-to-date list of the community outreach efforts undertaken by Boston College since 2004 are shown in the table below.
