Profile

My Research focus is on the Seismic Hazard Assessment in Time and how Stress Drop and Stress Triggering could lead to different assessments of the ground motion. I intend to use the Monte Carlo Simulation technique and look at these variations and how they could be related to seismic hazards. I had initially applied this method and compared it to the conventional seismic Hazard methodology in Nigeria and part of West Africa as they belong to the Stable Continental Region of the World. My Interest is to see this methodology and its variations in regions like California and other areas of the world. I am also interested and involved in the detection and monitoring of Earthquakes in New England states. My research interests include Earthquake Hazards, Earthquake source mechanisms, earthquake forecasting etc.

Why did you choose Boston College for your postgraduate work?

I choose BC because of the excellent Faculty and the top-notch facilities in the Department. The Department has very relative small size but the exciting research in department is great. The members are very encouraging and welcoming and i feel like a valued member of the research community here at Boston College. This was also a great step for me as an International Student.
