Dr. Shalini Aggarwal completed her first postdoctoral position at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, focusing on the development of the GeneCaRNA knowledgebase, a GeneCards Suite member. Her research expertise spans proteomics, metabolomics, multi-omics data analysis, and infectious disease diagnostics, particularly in malaria and COVID-19. Dr. Aggarwal has contributed to various research publications, patents and book chapters. She has been a recipient of various awards including the Newton-Bhabha Ph.D. Program fellowship and international travel grants. Additionally, she is an adept mentor, having guided over 25 master's and undergraduate students, many of whom contributed to publications under her direction. Dr. Aggarwal’s teaching aptitude has been honored with the Best Teaching Assistant Award at IIT Bombay and she has also contributed to multiple Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in bioengineering, proteogenomics and proteomics.
