M.B.A. Alum Startup Receives $3 Million in Venture Funding

Last year, Carroll School alums Peter MacDonald and Joe Schnare (both 2019 M.B.A. graduates) were accepted into TechStar Boston’s accelerator program with their startup, Wunderite. TechStar is an investment group that provides mentorship and seed funding to startups. Now, a year later, the alums’ company has netted $3 million in early stage venture funding led by Spark Capital. Wunderite sells updated software to independent insurance firms to streamline insurance application processing. MacDonald (pictured on the left), who once worked at his family’s insurance agency, said the startup is aiming to “build a more delightful, efficient way for agents to connect with their customers.”
