2019 Star Team Award

Shaun Ard, John Williamson, and Thomas Miller, of Boston College’s Institute for Scientific Research are part of AFRL’s Plasma Chemistry Laboratory team in Albuquerque, NM. The team was recently selected for a 2019 Star Team Award by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research for their outstanding research contributions. The ISR has been performing plasma chemistry research for the Air Force Research Laboratory for over 15 years, and the team has earned a Star Team Award in each (triennial) year of eligibility during that time. The team is led by AFRL’s Al Viggiano and Nick Shuman and currently hosts three postdoctoral fellows sponsored by the National Research Council.
