Patricia Doherty, BC/ISR Director Elected URSI Vice President

Congratulations to Patricia Doherty, Director of BCâ s Institute for Scientific Research, on her election as Vice President of the International Union of Radio Science (URSI). The election results were just announced at the URSI Council meeting being held in conjunction with the XXXIVth URSI General Assembly and Scientific Symposium.

Doherty, who also serves as the Chair of URSI Commission G, Ionospheric Radio and Propagation, was elected alongside George Uslenghi, who will serve as President, and three additional Vice Presidents, Kazuya Kobayashi, Giuliano Manara, and Ari Sihvola. URSI, organized under the International Council for Science, aims to stimulate and co-ordinate studies, research, applications, scientific exchange, and communication in the fields of radio science on an international basis for the benefit of humanity.
