This year's virtual African Workshop on GNSS and Space Weather, co-directed by BC's ISR, was by all accounts a resounding success. Originally planned for Morocco, the workshop took place electronically October 5-6, 2020, with 185 participants from 45 different countries. The goal of the workshop was to introduce registrants to space weather and ionospheric physics and to provide basic information about Global Satellite Navigation Systems (GNSS) and their applications. Workshop speakers included BC's Pat Doherty and Keith Groves. This was the 11th event that the ISR has co-directed and hosted with the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste, Italy. The workshop was also co-sponsored by the African Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education (CRASTE-LF) and the International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems.
