Keith Groves presented an invited talk on Boston College's Space Weather Research and Impacts at Mid-Latitudes at the 2019 African Geophysics Society (AGS) Conference on Space Weather. The meeting was held at Helwan University's Space Weather Monitoring Center in Cairo, Egypt. Groves is a Fellow of the AGS, as is ISR's Director Pat Doherty, in recognition of their work in capacity building and space-science training in Africa.
Groves participates in a panel discussion during the conference. From left to right, panelists are Kent Miller (USAF/AFOSR), Keith Groves (BC/ISR), Christine Amory-Mazaudier (Sorbonne U., Lab. Phys. des Plasmas), Michael Kosch (South African National Space Agency, SANSA), and Ayman Mahrous (Space Weather Monitoring Center director at Helwan U., & LOC for the conference). He also chaired the session on GNSS and Communication Systems.
