Several BC/ISR researchers presented their results at the recent 2021 GNSS+ meeting of the Inst. of Navigation (ION). Rezy Pradipta described a new tool to assess ionospheric scintillation that will be used in civilian aviation applications, and Charles Carrano discussed GPS outage probabilities caused by scintillation effects. ISR Director Patricia Doherty was the General Chair of the conference. Keith Groves, Susan Delay, and Doherty were also co-authors on the presentations.

The ION GNSS+ annual meeting focuses on global navigation satellite systems. It includes topics that range from research on physical phenomena, such as the scintillation that BC/ISR studies, to new technologies to space policy discussions. In addition to being the General Chair of this year's conference, Pat Doherty also serves as Chair of ION's Satellite Division.
