Catch someone in the act—of caring.

Through the fall semester, the DOS Office is running a photography competition. We're looking for student perspectives on what caring for the community means to you.

Snap & Send

If you see something that embodies #BCaring throughout your semester, snap a photo and send it to bcsa@bc.edu.  Describe the person, what they did, and any other details.

Your picture tells a story

At the end of the Fall semester selected winners will attend a reception and some photographs will be hung in the Maloney 4th Floor Lobby to become part of the Student Affairs story.  Winners will be eligible to win prizes including a digital camera, airpods, and more.

Why is this important?

The Office of the Dean of Students is working together with campus partners to facilitate events and activities that aim to foster a deeper sense of community and embody the spirit of our Jesuit mission.

  • Create a shared understanding of our Jesuit legacy, embracing attentiveness, reflection, and love as we strive for greatness in the classroom and the stadium.
  • Embody the spirit of "men and women for others" on campus and in the community, recognizing that our choices hold immense power to impact those around us.
  • Demonstrate unwavering consistency of personal values exhibited by academic, social, and service choices, regardless of time or place
  • Implement engaging strategies to emphasize important behavior guidelines and share the information in an accessible and appealing format.
  • Convey appreciation and respect to frontline and facilities staff who work to make every event safe, orderly, enjoyable, and accessible to all.
