Launched in the summer of 2019, the APIE Book Club brings BC faculty and staff together around books about Asian American experiences. The goal behind the APIE Book Club is to create a sense of community among the participants. The APIE Book Club meets once a week over several weeks to discuss the book and share stories on what it means to be Asian American. Below is the list of books we have read so far:
- The Leavers by Lisa Ko (Summer 2019)
- How to American: An Immigrant's Guide to Disappointing Your Parents by Jimmy O. Yang (Spring 2020)
- Minor Feelings: An Asian American Reckoning by Cathy Park Hong (Spring 2021)
- Invisible: Theology and the Experience of Asian American Women by Grace Ji-Sun Kim (Spring 2022)
