Overview
The mission of The BCCC - Brookline Campus is to provide a high-quality education for preschoolers in the Chestnut Hill and surrounding areas. Our professional team of educators nurture and assess the children’s needs and offer a comprehensive curriculum to promote each child’s growth and development as an individual and as a member of the BCCC community. The Center is owned and operated by Boston College and is part of the Human Resources division of the University.

Time For Preschool!
We know that the transition to preschool can be a big one for everyone involved. The staff is dedicated to working with families to make the transition as smooth as possible so that your child can have a wonderful preschool experience.
Our experienced teachers create and implement a comprehensive curriculum, which exposes the children to a variety of experiences, materials, topics, and opportunities in an effort to expand their knowledge and support their overall growth and development. We are dedicated to helping children develop social and emotional competencies, while building skills, confidence, and a love for learning.
BCCC - Brookline Campus is a full year program, open Monday through Friday from 7:30AM-5:00PM. We offer both full-time and part-time schedules.

Director
Davida Bloom has been an educator of young children in the classroom for over 25 years. Most recently, she has served as the Early Education Director at the YMCA Children’s Center-West Roxbury. She attended Mount Ida College, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has vast knowledge of working with young children in various child care settings. She feels that parents are an important part of our team, instrumental in the learning and development of the children. She looks forward to your involvement and engagement during the school year. During her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Janine has been working with young children for over 13 years, joining us from a small private school in Milton. She has earned an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Quincy College. “I really enjoy creating a love for learning through discovery, exploration, and play.”

Debbie has worked at our center since 2008. She has earned her Bachelor’s In Early Childhood Education, Health, and Leadership from Pine Manor College. Prior to joining our center, Debbie worked as a lead teacher for preschoolers and children with special needs for 15 years. She is a proud owner of three dogs and is an avid New England Patriots fan.

Maribel has worked at our center since 2021. She has earned her Department of Early Education and Care Certification as a Preschool Teacher. Maribel grew up in Mexico and has lived in the United States for 14 years. She is a wife and mother of 2 young children. She enjoys spending time with her family and keeps busy with her children’s daily activities. Maribel enjoys being part of the teaching team at the Children’s Center.

Marien Reyes has worked at the Children’s Center since July 2021. I am a graduate of Pine Manor College with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Marien grew up in Honduras and moved to the United States 8 years ago. In my spare time I enjoy being with family and my dog Muffin. I teach the children in my classroom basic Spanish and I enjoy planning out activities using various materials. I am pursuing a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Boston College.

No. Due to Covid-19 restrictions we are unable to take any field trips.

The center is a nut-free environment. If a child requires an Epi-pen or Benadryl for a known allergy, the parent must indicate this on the enrollment form upon admission and supply those items to the center on or before the first day the child attends. The director will send the parent medical forms that the child’s doctor needs to complete before the first day the child attends center.
Yes. Parents can send in a special book to be read to the class.
An extra set of clothes, diapers and wipes, pull-ups, extra underwear, appropriate outdoor clothing, a lunch if staying past noon, a crib sheet for the mat and a pillow and blanket if your child is staying for rest time.
Yes. Parents provide snack and water cup for their child to have.
We maintain a nut-free environment and ask that parents check all ingredients to make sure the food item does not contain nuts or have been processed in factory that may contain nuts.
