Sean Hennessey is Chief Communications Officer for the MGH Institute of Health Professions, where he sets the strategy and oversees tactical execution for internal and external communication efforts. This real-world experience, coupled with positions in the agency/academic sectors and his extensive career as a television news journalist, allows Hennessey to bring a unique perspective into the classroom.
Prior to the MGH Institute, Hennessey was Senior VP at The Castle Group, where he guided strategy and execution with clients across all sectors - professional services, nonprofits, healthcare, education, and crisis management. Hennessey also gained in-house experience as an Associate Director for the Office of University Communications at Boston College.
Prior to his career in public relations, Sean was a television news reporter for more than 20 years in markets all over the country, including New York City and Boston, so he understands how the media thinks and works, all of which is a significant asset in PR.
