Profile

Noman Khanani is an applied quantitative methodologist specializing in the design and analysis of experimental and quasi-experimental evaluations of education programs, interventions, and policies. He is currently a Senior Research Associate at WestEd, where he leads and supports applied research studies to inform policy decision-making for state and local educational agencies. His research is focused on improving outcomes for underrepresented and marginalized student populations. 

Dr. Khanani previously worked at the Boston College Center for Thriving Children, where he assessed the impact of integrated student support programs on a number of educational outcomes. Prior to that, he was a researcher at Education Development Center, where he led and supported research and technical assistance efforts for the Regional Educational Laboratories - Northeast & Islands. He has previously published on factors affecting teacher labor markets, student-centered and online learning, and integrated student support.
