Assistant Professor of the Practice in Applied Economics

Profile

Arvind Sharma is an Assistant Professor of the Practice in Applied Economics at Boston College. His research primarily focuses on reduced form causal modeling within Industrial Organization, Labor/Development Economics, and Finance. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from Northeastern University and has experience in survey design and implementation of randomized control trials.

Dr. Sharma's teaching is dedicated to empirical Microeconometrics, covering subjects such as Data Analysis, Econometrics, Microeconomics, Software Tools, and Linear Algebra. He serves as an academic advisor in the MS Applied Economics program at the Woods College of Advancing Studies. Prior to his current position, he served as an Instructor of Economics at Northeastern University, where he taught a variety of courses at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Arvind has also taught at institutions in the Boston-Cambridge area, including the Harvard Summer School.

Arvind earned his M.S. from Boston College and B.A. from The University of Hong Kong.
