Biography

Margaret Felice is a doctoral student in Theology and Education in BC’s Clough School of Theology and Education. She comes to her studies after nearly two decades in religious education, campus ministry and music ministry at Boston College High School. Her research focuses on formation opportunities in Catholic schools, particularly Ignatian imagination, experiential learning, and liturgical catechesis.

As an inaugural member of the Mathis Liturgical Leadership Program at the University of Notre Dame, Margaret has worked with Notre Dame faculty and professionals from around the country to research and innovate methods for encouraging religious participation and identity. Also at Notre Dame she has been a featured speaker for Notre Dame Vision for Liturgical Musicians, delivering keynotes titled “Accompanying Fellow Disciples: Liturgical Music on the Journey of Faith” and “‘Beauty Ever Ancient, Ever New’: Echoing the New Song of Christ”. She was a featured presenter for the 2022 Eucharistic Revival Conference online, presenting on “Encouraging Reverence in Catholic School Liturgies”.

Margaret has published devotionals and teen spirituality resources with Loyola Press and Twenty-third Publications. She also has been published in GIA Quarterly, Pastoral Music, Classical Singer Magazine, Notre Dame Church Life Journal and Classical Music Indy, as well as on the PrayTell and dotMagis blogs.

A proud alumna of Boston College, Margaret has earned a Bachelor of Arts (music and theology), Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry (Liturgy and Worship), and Certificate in Jesuit Studies, as well as a Master of Music degree from The Boston Conservatory. She is an active music minister at parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Boston and is an Assistant Director of the Liturgical Arts Group of Boston College. Originally from South Windsor, CT, she now lives in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, where she keeps a garden, trains for half-marathons, and attempts to practice vocal music without bothering the neighbors.
