Hannah Sutton-Adams

Biography

Hannah is a Ph.D. student in Theology and Education. She holds a M.Div. degree from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Hannah is a board-certified chaplain through the Association of Professional Chaplains. She holds a certificate in Post-Traumatic Stress Studies from the Trauma Research Foundation. Hannah's research investigates chaplains as religious educators and their use of interventions for survivors of trauma, especially following religious trauma and abuse. 

Prior to studying at Boston College, Hannah worked as a chaplain and adjunct theology professor. She integrates theory and praxis through her work with the Godly Play Foundation and ministry in her local Episcopal parish. Hannah will begin her postulancy for the priesthood in the Episcopal Church with the Diocese of Massachusetts in June 2024.

Hannah enjoys spending time outside with her spouse Logan, and their dog, Charo. Yoga, good coffee, nature walks, and traveling are some of her favorite things.
