Individual Instruction
Rob is an operatic lyric baritone performing in the Boston area, singing with opera theater companies, choruses and orchestras. Recently, he appeared as the title role in The Fantastic Mr. Fox in a children’s theater production with Odyssey Opera. Other notable opera companies he’s performed with in the area are Boston Opera Collaborative (Don Giovanni in Don Giovanni, Papageno in The Magic Flute, and The Count in The Marriage of Figaro), Metrowest Opera, (Papageno in The Magic Flute), New Jersey Opera (Mercutio Romeo et Julliette) and Opera Providence’s series of Mostly Mozart concerts, light opera productions and children’s outreach. Rob has also been involved in Powers Music children’s outreach programs, musical story hour, and children’s operas, (Wolf and Huntsman in Little Red Riding Hood, Daddy Warbucks in Annie, the Narrator in Winnie the Pooh, and Narrator in Peter and the Wolf. Rob has sung a variety of roles with Boston University Opera Theater, including Don Giovanni and Masetto in Don Giovanni, Shaunard in La Bohéme, and Gianni Schicchi in Gianni Schicchi. Other notable engagements include soloist appearances, Mozart Requiem and Handel’s Messiah with Rensselaer Polytechnic Chorus, Haydn Creation with Buckingham Browne and Nichols Chorus, Haydn War Requiem with Somerville Chorus, Duruflé Requiem with Westboro Chorus, and Fauré Requiem with Wheaton College, and at Old South Church in Boston. Rob has appeared in several recitals at Indian Hill Music, recently performing Finzi’s Earth and Air and Rain, French art songs of Duparc, Fauré, Debussy, Massanet & Gounod, and Music Theater selections and Jazz repertoire. Rob is cantor and director of music at Sacred Heart Church in Waltham, MA at the Sat 4pm Mass, and is a baritone choral fellow at Old South Church on Sunday 11am Festival Worship. Rob also teaches private voice at Brookline Music School and at Indian Hill Music School.
