

Cassidy Allen's research interests include contemporary women writers, twentieth and twenty-first century Irish literature, feminist theory, and the media. Cassidy has over five years of teaching experience. At Boston College, she has taught FWS, Lit Core, and an elective English course cross listed with Women and Gender Studies titled Contemporary Women Writers and the Media. Additionally, she taught several First-Year Writing courses as the full instructor on record at the University of Connecticut. At Boston College, Cassidy serves as co-Director of the Ph.D. Pedagogy Seminar with Kelley Glasgow, Andrew Petracca, and Troy Woolsey. She is the President of the Graduate Arts and Sciences Association and serves on the Graduate Student Senate. She also works as a Graduate Assistant for the Faculty Innovation and Development Team at the Center for Digital Innovation in Learning (CDIL), where she facilitates faculty development and innovation across various modalities. She additionally is an Advanced Placement grader for the Language and Composition exam. Cassidy received both her M.A. in English and B.A in English from the University of Connecticut.
