The cold has set in here at Boston College, but there are more ways than ever for students to keep their spirits up. Here’s a look at the upcoming events and ongoing wellness resources that will keep our community connected and healthy through this new semester and beyond.

On-Campus Resources
Wellness is an ongoing effort to live a healthy and grounded life. In addition to the wide-ranging group fitness and personal training programs offered by Campus Recreation, the Division of Student Affairs offers a variety of online and in-person programs that support physical, mental, and social health and wellness, including:

Wellness Coaching
Students can meet with trained peer wellness coaches in person or virtually for one-on-one conversations. Wellness coaches provide support, health tips, health-related resources, and accountability to help students care for mind, body, and soul.

Nutrition Counseling
Through meetings with a registered dietician, students can discuss overall healthy eating or create nutrition plans for athletics, dietary restrictions, or a vegan/vegetarian diet. Female students are also invited to join the Body Project, a peer-led program where groups of women discuss societal pressures around appearance and celebrate positive body image.

University Counseling Services (UCS)
Housed in Gasson Hall, University Counseling Services offers in-person and telehealth mental health counseling that is free for all BC students, including same-day consultations and group therapy. Some of UCS’s unique resources include Koru Mindfulness workshops, Anxiety Toolbox sessions, and a four-session Biofeedback: Mind-Body Balance workshop.

  • WellTrack
Students can also access mental health support from home through UCS’s partnership with WellTrack, an online self-help program that offers videos, relaxation exercises, mood-tracking tools, and written exercises to address stress, anxiety, and depression.
