Dr. Decker has been a Senior Research Physicist at BC ISR since 2015 and has primarily served as a program manager on various projects. Previously, he served as a Physicist in the Space Weather Center of Excellence of the Air Force Research Laboratory where he held various management positions (Branch Chief, Associate Branch Chief, and Deputy Section Chief). Prior to joining AFRL in 1998 he worked at BC ISR for 16 years. He has been involved in around 100 presentations at scientific meetings and has authored or co-authored over 30 scientific articles and reports. Over the years, he has been a principal or co-investigator on a number of contracts and grants funded by the USAF, NSF, and NASA. Dr. Decker holds a PhD degree in Physics from Boston College (1980), a M.S. degree in physics from Brandeis University (1975), and a B.S. degree in physics from the S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo (1973).
