"Physics of Satellite Surface Charging" Now Available

BC/ISR researchers Shu Lai and Rezy Pradipta have just published their new book on spacecraft charging, “Physics of Satellite Surface Charging: Causes, Effects, and Applications.”  The book discusses why spacecraft charging occurs, along with when and where it happens, how to measure it, and the effects it can have on spacecraft and their systems.  Worked examples and exercises for the reader are included as the fundamentals of spacecraft charging are explored.  This work should be of interest to advanced undergraduate and graduate students, and will serve as an important reference for understanding the interactions of satellites with space plasmas.  Available through CRC Press.
