A panel of industry leaders, all faculty of the Woods College of Advancing Studies M.S. in Leadership and Administration program, turned a lens on how leaders respond in times of crisis during a program-sponsored webinar last week.

Moderated by program director Elizabeth Hiles, the virtual discussion covered topics including how they have adapted their leadership strategies and behaviors in respond to the outbreak, how emotional leadership and empathy take center stage at a time of uncertainty and fear, and what positive outcomes may result from new ways of thinking that have emerged from tragic circumstances.
Presenters include Brian McDonald, head of human resources at Fidelity Investments; Judy Ingalls, senior partner at Brimstone; Scott Madden, senior partner at Connelly Partners, and Foster Mobley, founder and chairman of FMG Leading.
A companion webinar, sponsored by the M.S. in Sports Adminstration program and also moderated by Hiles, addressed the impact of COVID-19 on the sports world, from collegiate and professional athletics to sports and entertainment media.
Presenters included Boston College alumnus Matt Hasselbeck, ESPN analyst and former NFL player;
UCLA Athletic Director and former BC AD Martin Jarmond; and Mike Lynch, athletics director at Babson College.
