Akash Chougule

Several young Boston College alumni are included in Forbes' "30 Under 30" list for 2016:

Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences political science major Akash Chougule '12, was cited in the Law and Policy sector. Deputy director of policy at Americans for Prosperity, Chougule played a key role in the biggest state-level policy debate of the decade, surrounding Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act.

Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences chemistry major Staff Sheehan '11, founder of Catalytic Innovations, was named to the Energy sector.  Sheehan discovered a new kind of industrial material called heterogenized homogeneous catalyst, currently used by companies in the US, UK, Europe and Japan for electrolysis and biofuel production.

Carroll School of Management alumnus Phil Dumontet '09, founder of Dashed, was among the 30 in the Retail and E-Commerce sector. The innovative company Dashed provides rapid delivery services for more than 800 restaurants. In 2014, the company brought in $7.5 million in revenue.
