Laurie MacDougall '86, a cancer data specialist who graduated magna cum laude from the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences honors program with a degree in biology, won three rounds of Jeopardy! and a total of $78,000 in June.
MacDougall is an editorial consultant, specializing in aging and public health. At BC, she won the Albert McGuinn, S.J., Award, presented to a senior who has most successfully combined proficiency in a major field of study with achievements (academic, extracurricular, or a combination of both) in the social sciences or humanities. Her honors thesis explored themes of death and dying in Tolstoy’s The Death of Ivan Ilyich, Camus' The Plague and in the work of Elisabeth Kübler-Ross.
