The Campion Jesuit Community invites former Boston College colleagues, friends, and hockey players of Coach Len Ceglarski to attend a memorial Mass on Friday, September 14, at 10. a.m. in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit, at Campion Center, located at 319 Concord Road in Weston, Mass.
Following the Mass, new Stations of the Cross in the Jesuit Cemetery at Campion Center, which have been erected in Coach Ceglarski’s memory, will be blessed and dedicated. All guests are invited to join the Jesuit community in the Cunniff Dining Room for lunch following the ceremonies.
A legendary head hockey coach and athlete at Boston College—winner of 419 games as head coach on the Heights, a member of the 1949 national championship team, and the ninth-winningest coach in NCAA hockey history--Leonard Stanley Ceglarski died on December 16, 2017, at age 91. In addition to his wife of 65 years, Ursula Murphy Ceglarski, he is survived by six sons (Mark and his wife, Joanne, of Bristol, Conn; Leonard, Jr., and his wife, Catherine, of Byfield, Mass.; Paul and his wife, Eileen, of Darien, Conn; Peter and his wife, Susan, of Westlake Village, Calif.; Michael and his wife, Julie, of Marian, NC; and Timothy and his wife, Gilson, of Quincy, Mass.), 16 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
