Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that the website for our October meeting of the AJCU Chief Academic Officers Council is now up and available for you to RSVP, reserve a hotel room, register for the conference, view the tentative schedule, and learn a little more about Boston College and the Boston area. Among the topics we'll discuss will be prison education, the Supreme Court's June rulings on race and admissions, our schools' experiences with Laudato Si, and a follow-up to our Milwaukee conversation on student success.  Special thanks to Mike Lewis, Michelle Maldonado, Kimo Ah Yun, and Pam Zarkowski for serving on the planning group for the conference!

Below are a few key points and requests regarding our conference:

  • The group room rate is valid through September 15. The AC Marriott at Cleveland Circle is a mile from the Boston College campus around the Chestnut Hill Reservoir.   Shuttle service will also be provided.
  • Please RSVP via the website, even if you can’t make it.
  • The online registration form has opportunities to indicate any dietary requests. For additional requests or questions, please email Jeannie Kelly (jeannie.kelly@bc.edu).

That’s all for now. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any comments, questions, or concerns (and to volunteer to serve on a panel). Further logistics-related communications will come as we approach the conference date.

I hope you'll be able to join us in October.  Wishing everyone a successful start of the new academic year!
