Campus Update Monday March 16, 2020
- Approximately 500 students remain on campus following the move-out deadline of March 15.
- Remaining students will be housed in single rooms in residence halls in Upper Campus and College Road.
- BC Dining facilities remain open. To meet guidelines imposed by the Governor of Massachusetts, effective Tuesday March 17, BC Dining Services will serve its patrons food to go. BCDS will also be monitoring the number of customers in dining locations, so as not exceed the state limit of 25 people.

- Facilities staff are cleaning and disinfecting common areas around campus multiple times each day, including libraries, offices, and dining facilities.
- O’Neill Library remains open seven days a week but with limited hours. Students, however, are required to respect social distancing guidelines throughout the library.
- The Margot Connell Recreation Complex remains open, except for the swimming pools, saunas, and basketball and tennis courts. The number of student visitors, however, will be limited to avoid overcrowding. Students are expected to follow social distancing guidelines.
- Remote teaching and learning will begin on Thursday March 19. The University is committed to ensuring that the same rigorous approach to course material will be delivered through the mode of remote instruction. Final exams will be held at the end of the semester. Individual instructors will let students know about end-of-term exams and other assessments for their classes.
