With over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector, Julia MacMahon has a passion for creating and implementing programs that foster community engagement, equity, and justice.
Her background in community organizing, program development, and organizational management spans diverse communities, including suburban retirees, college students, and city youth.
MacMahon specializes in creating opportunities for shared learning and action planning around leadership development, authentic allyship, and addressing racism in schools and organizations.
She also holds expertise in qualitative evaluation and strategic planning, and uses these skills to guide organizations as they identify the roots of their challenges and develop actionable plans to address them.
MacMahon holds a Master's Degree in Social Work with a macro focus from Boston College and several certifications in youth development, group facilitation, violence prevention, and nonprofit leadership. She has completed fellowships with the Terra Learning for Action Program, Harvard Mediation Program, and Harvard Kennedy School of Government Community Organizing Fellowship.
