Sherburne Hawkins co-authors paper on rural-urban disparities in colonoscopies

Associate Professor Summer Sherburne Hawkins and co-authors published a paper, “Rural-urban disparities in colonoscopies after the elimination of patient cost-sharing by the Affordable Care Act,” in Preventive Medicine. She also presented “The impact of policy changes on HPV vaccine completion: A natural experiment” at the Applying Big Data to Address the Social Determinants of Health in Oncology workshop in Washington, D.C., and the 2019 Annual Meeting of the Interdisciplinary Association of Population Health Science.
