Theresa Betancourt quoted in The Telegraph

Theresa Betancourt, the Salem Professor in Global Practice, was quoted in an article for The Telegraph about fighting in Cabo Delgado that has displaced 364,000 children. 

“We know that toxic stress exposures, including traumatic separation, including exposure to direct violence, get under the skin,” she said. “And they actually have lasting consequences for mental health, as well as for learning, and for other areas of behaviour.”
