This New Directions in African & African Diaspora Studies panel will take a deep dive into the ways in which the COVID-19 pandemic has shaped activism in the Movement for Black Lives locally, nationally, and internationally. By focusing on the intersection of M4BL and the viral pandemic, the discussion will illuminate both how activism must adapt to the current moment and what this adaptation means for the well being of people of African descent in the U.S. and abroad.
