Olivia Catherine Hastie is a doctoral student in Theological Ethics with a minor in Systematic Theology. She was raised in Holliston, MA and received her bachelor’s degree in religious studies from the College of the Holy Cross and her Master of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School.
Olivia’s research centers the body as a critical component of Catholic discourse working closely with liberation, feminist, and queer theologians and authors. She is particularly interested in experience-based approaches to theology that integrate the role of the self and its embodied experiences in the collective understanding of morality and devotional expressions of Christian faith.
In addition to her studies, Olivia has spent time as an assistant at L’Arche Boston North, has worked in Parish ministry, and currently serves as a program associate for FutureChurch.
In her free time, Olivia enjoys practicing her singing skills, spending time with her family, exploring coffee shops in Boston, and visiting the ocean.
