Berit Reisenauer Guidotti is a doctoral student in Theological Ethics and an outdoor-loving native of the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. Before beginning her doctoral studies, Berit worked as a management consultant in the technology and manufacturing industries.
Berit’s doctoral research explores the ethical implications of emerging technologies–especially Artificial Intelligence, blockchain and biometric technologies, and quantum computing–in light of Catholic social teaching, theologies of liberation, feminist theology and epistemology, and theological anthropology.
Berit is a recipient of Boston College’s Presidential Fellowship and a student member of the American Academy of Religion, the Society of Christian Ethics, and the Catholic Theological Society of America. At Boston College, Berit has served as a Graduate Assistant for the Interdisciplinary Climate Seminar Series at The Schiller Institute for Integrated Science and Society, and is the Theology Program Graduate Assistant for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Berit and her husband Tony spend the rest of their (non-research and teaching-oriented) time caring for their energetic young son and curious black cat, and tending their small-but-bountiful community garden plot.
