Professor Babb Receives Publication Awards From ASA

An article co-authored by Sarah Babb, with Alexander Kentikelenis of Bocconi University, titled “The Making of Neoliberal Globalization: Norm Substitution and the Rise of Structural Adjustment in the IMF,” has won two awards from sections of the American Sociological Association: the 2020 Charles Tilly Best Article Award from the Comparative and Historical Sociology Section (co-winner); and the best article award from the Global and Transnational Sociology Section (sole winner). The article was published in the American Journal of Sociology in 2019.
